We will start by helping to determine your actual problems and needs. Often times, the true problem can be masked by other factors. Our experienced staff will help you cut through the haze and design a customized solution to best address your problems on the first try.
Design & Drafting After settling on a plan of attack, our staff will prepare a detailed design including, as required: a complete bill of materials (listing manufacturer, part number, quanitity, and description), electrical schematic diagram, control panel layouts, terminal block layouts, engraving schedules, and field interconnect drawings. All drawings are produced using AutoCAD drafting software. We can also modify your existing AutoCAD drawings to reflect changes made.
Production & Programming After formulating a detailed plan, we now set the plan into motion. We begin by ordering the necessary parts and assembling them as directed by the detailed drawings. At the same time, programming (if required) begins.
All programs are written in a simple and easy to understand manner, while at the same time being compact and well documented. This can be crucial for operations and maintenance personnel when problems arise. A well-written and documented program can be the difference between production being down only a few minutes as opposed to a few hours.
In-House Testing After all components are assembled and preliminary programming has been completed, the entire system is assembled and hooked up to I/O simulators. Programming and component functionality is then tested and verified. HMI screen displays and graphics are checked to be sure tags are properly assigned and animations function properly.
Installation & Start-Up After testing is complete, equipment is delivered to the site and installation begins. Once installation is complete, all field instruments are calibrated, field I/O is verified and the system start-up takes place. PID loops are then tuned and programming is modified to meet the real world conditions of the process.
CSI can provide specifications, data sheets, installation manuals, and operation manuals. As much detail as possible is put into these manuals to allow the owner or operator to make troubleshooting and maintenance on the equipment simple.
